About Me

WHO I AM

I am an Instructional & Learning Experience Designer with 8 years of experience across various themes and environments.

WHAT I MAKE

I produce engaging, learner-centered experiences that transform complex content into clear, effective training. These trainings may take the form through serious games, micro-learning modules, or simple tools for in-person learning.

MY SPECIALTIES

I specialize in process centered learning design (onboarding, integration, upskilling, etc.).

I also have experience in learning design for adoption and perfection of skills, notably language arts and embroidery.

MY PROCESS

I use a backwards design framework. I usually start with four questions:

For instructional design, my questions are:

  1. What will the person learn ?
  2. How will they know they have learned?
  3. What tools do they need to get to that place?
  4. Where are they now?

For learning experience design, the questions change:

  1. How will the learner feel at the end of the process?
  2. How will the learner access the learning tools provided?
  3. How accessible is the learning interface? How seamless is the learning process?
  4. What is the learners profile? What do they want to do?

However, I am not a one-size-fits all learning designer. I have also employed iterative design models (ADDIE, SAM) along with more objective and evaluation based frameworks (Bloom’s Taxonomy, the Kirkpatrick Model).

It is important to me to factor in the tenets of learning experience design, notably evaluation of the learning environment and tools available in order to developing simple, efficient, and accessible takeaways for the learner.

Put simply: I deliver learning tools that work (and that doesn’t always mean e-learning).
